Olivier Krumbholz, Selection Coach
We’ve got a bit more time to prepare for the Olympic Games than usual. We intend to make the most of this time. We’re in really exceptional conditions with the High Performance Centre, which is now a real plus compared to all the other facilities. So we’re counting on capitalising on the quality of the work we’ve done here so that we can perform well from 25 July for our first match, which will already be a decisive one against Hungary, who have a very fine team.
We know full well that we have a huge responsibility. We accept it. We’re favourites because we’re the reigning world champions and we won the last Olympic Games.
That doesn’t scare us. The suit isn’t too big. On the other hand, we really need to make further progress and arrive at the Olympic Games fresh. Because physically, it’s going to be tough, very tough, and we need to be in top shape.

We’re always very welcome in Capbreton and it’s always a pleasure to come back.
When I have a bit of free time, I often go to the beach and have an ice cream. That’s what I like to do. I sometimes have churros too, but you can’t say that too loudly.
I just hope we bring home the best medal. That we keep it at home. There you go!
