The South Coast of the Landes is the place where rugby shines, and the best players come to refine their sporting preparation for the biggest events. This is the case for the Romanian XV, who have chosen Soustons and its Games Preparation Centre (GPC) at Isle Verte for a high-intensity training camp. On the programme: technique, strengthening, run and bike, lifesaving, canoeing, judo, surfing, pelota and total immersion in the Landes spirit. It’s the perfect way to make the most of their visit. We’ve put together a new                                      episode of J’irai m’entrainer chez vous for the occasion.                              👉 [ I’ll be training with you ] Capbreton Games Preparation Centre 🔥

We’re here to prepare for our Summer Tour of the United States and Canada, where we’ll be playing these two teams. And in the longer term, we’ve got World Cup qualification in six months’ time. So we’re here today to build cohesion, to prepare ourselves rugby-wise in the short term, but above all mentally for the long term.

We want to take on board a bit of the culture of the place where they are, while hurting themselves a little and testing their limits. And we’re also going to work on that rugby-wise. There are all the facilities for a rugby team, a good-level gym, some pretty nice accommodation and, above all, the pitches are right there.

So we can move very quickly from the video room and the gym to the pitch. So we can work relatively well. We’ve been able to do lots of activities, from running and biking around the lake to paddle boarding and the beach. So it’s a very pleasant place to live. The people at the Centre sportif de l’Isle Vert were very kind and listened to us from start to finish.
