The Capbreton Games Preparation Centre was delighted to welcome AC Ajaccio for a training camp in July 2023, prior to the start of their league campaign on 5 August.
With suitable sports facilities and a perfect setting for football, the Acéistes were able to combine high-intensity training with Landes-style rejuvenation.
At the end of their programme, the Bears met FC Pau, also in @Ligue 2 BKT, in a friendly match. A first victory (2-0) which validates the work of the Acéistes in Capbreton.

WHAT IS THE AIM OF THE COURSE ?

We wanted to leave from Ajaccio to avoid the heat. Here, the temperatures are much more pleasant so that the players can work and recover well. Secondly, we wanted to have a cohesion camp, meaning that some new players have arrived. A lot of them know each other, but some have just arrived. And for us to be able to live together 24 hours a day, we need to be in training, forget the family for a while and get to know each other better and better.

WHY Capbreton ?

This is the first time we’ve come to Capbreton in the Landes. Our sports director was asked to come. He came to see the facilities and found that they matched what we wanted. So we’re delighted to be here and we can also take advantage of the CERS facilities. The pitches are good, we’ve got the beach, which also allows the players to go for a swim straight after training if they want to, because they also need to relax.

AC AJACCIO V PAU FC MATCH

It’ll be a way for us to see if the players have taken on board everything we’ve prepared in terms of defensive tactics. We’ll also be able to review get a clearer idea of the team we’ll be fielding for the championship, bearing in mind that the days are ticking by and we’re getting closer and closer to the start of the championship.
